Pop Smoke Killed in Home Invasion
Shocking the rap industry once again is the news that another rising talent has been shot and killed in a home robbery on the morning of February 19th in Los Angeles.
Budding 20-year-old rapper Pop Smoke, whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, was reportedly staying in a home on the Hollywood Hills when two robbers broke in at around 4 in the morning. Gunshots were fired, and some shots fatally struck the rapper. The robbers fled the scene of the crime on foot.
Pop Smoke was rushed to Cedar Sinai Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. As of now, the police are still looking for the two suspects, who still remains unknown.
Pop Smoke has recently come out with his new mixtape and has worked with the likes of Travis Scott and Quavo during his short yet remarkable career. Rest in Peace, Pop Smoke.
Rapper Tierra Whack Donates To Philly Schools
Grammy-nominated rapper and musician Tierra Whack is giving back to her hometown of Philadelphia in the news that warms our collective hearts. The 24-year-old rapper, musician and songwriter teamed up with sports apparel brand, Vans, to donate to schools in the Philly area a whopping $100,000, which were distributed to five different schools.
Samuel Fels High School, Philadelphia High School for Girls, South Philadelphia High School, Frankford High School, and John Bartam High School each received $10,000 worth of musical equipment and $10,000 grant to fund their respective music programs, plus a special appearance by the rapper.
Tierra Whack told a news outlet, “We have just so many legends from Philly, so just to follow in their footsteps and be able to do what I do now is just amazing.”
Vans were also there to distribute backpacks filled with supplies to students during the occasion.

Seemingly not satisfied with his already huge collection of blinged-out timepieces and hip-hop jewellery, Drake flexed his newest buy, the Astronomia Casino watch by Manhattan jewellers, Jacob & Co. The high-end watch’s dial can apparently be swapped for a functioning roulette table, all for a whopping $620k! Talk about an awesome piece of watch to flex, eh?
The Astronomia Casino features a “double-axis tourbillon, a magnesium lacquered globe and time display, all rotating around the dial in 10 minutes, while underneath is a working roulette table with ceramic ball, while on top is a 1ct 288 Jacob-cut diamond, which turns on itself in 30 seconds,” as per the jeweller’s Instagram page.
